We've had such bad luck with quail, that today we decided to give it a rest. After a bird passed away Monday, Rob and I discussed it and decided today to let the remaining two go. They probably won't make it in the wild, but they weren't making it with us and the heat either. 

Once we get the barndo built, we will try again. This next time though, I'll be buying the birds just hatched and raise them from there. We've had such great success with our chickens, we feel this is the way to go. But not with this heat, and not with us being in an RV. 

I'm a little sad as they were great birds. But I got them too old and couldn't control the horrible heat. Even Fiona has felt the heat today, or she could just possibly be in heat!
