Weekend Time

Another weekend is upon us and truly I'm still thinking it's Tuesday. I think I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing, but it's getting difficult to tell these days. I do stuff and it's a lot but I'm enjoying all of it.

Teddy is almost fully back to normal from the swelling. He's taking the pills like a champ and has a healthy appreciation to staying on the cut grass instead of the overgrown grass now. More rain is coming, so Gator knows to be ready for more mowing soon.

Rob's doing excellent on all things he's doing. Whether it's caring for the animals, doing his day job, or keeping up with me, he's getting the gold star.

Have a great weekend and have an adventure!

Whatever Wednesday

If you don't know whether you're coming or going chances are it's a Wednesday. Teddy is doing better, thank goodness! We took pics of him when he was all swollen and then when he's back to normal we'll take more pics and start a quick weight loss for animals program. Totally kidding!

We also got our trailer rented out to our local deputy. I had heard from her where she was living and Rob and I quickly agreed she needed a new arrangement. Fortunately for us, we have an RV and she's got a spot with the city at the RV Park. Win win. We just need to clean it up and get it over there.

The only other important thing to note is I worked on brushing the cows today. Brogan never smells good, but he's looking fierce these days!

Teddy Tuesday

Last night, poor Teddy got bit by a snake. I heard him get bit by his yelp and the fang marks, but had no clue what type of snake got him. Unfortunately, we've had experience with rattlesnakes and copperheads, so we knew the drill.

He got a dose of Benadryl last night and that actually stopped the swelling overnight. Once it wore off though, it was back to swelling. This was on his throat, so Rob and I didn't want to wait for it to get worse. Our vet couldn't see him, but luckily another vet in Burnet could see him. He got a shot of antibiotics and steroids and pills of both to take for ten days. If he starts losing hair in that spot, we have to take him back. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Gator heard all about it and immediately came out to mow everything down. He is hands down the best guy and we're so fortunate to have him in our lives. Here's hoping the rest of the week goes better.
